Herb Dispensary
The School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at New York Chiropractic College
features its own full-service herb dispensary that fills orders for the various
AOM clinical sites, including the Seneca Falls Health Center, the NYCC Campus
Health Center, and Lifetime Care in Rochester, NY. We are the largest herb
dispensary in Upstate New York. The dispensary carries over 300 high quality raw
herbs from China, over 300 granulated formulas and single herbs, and a large
selection of prepared medicines. The dispensary also serves as a clinical &
didactic training facility for the School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine’s
MSAOM student interns.
We dispense herbs by prescription only. Practitioners can place orders in person
at our Seneca Falls Health Center clinic location, or by phone and fax. Our raw
herbs have been processed by cleaning, soaking, slicing, and drying. Our
suppliers are selected for their attention to product quality and correct
species identification. Our raw herbs are the finest pharmaceutical grade, being
harvested and processed with the highest standards possible. Most have been
tested for pesticide residues, bacterial content and heavy metals. No endangered
species of any kind (plant or animal) are used. The School of AOM at NYCC is
working on a national level to implement and exemplify dispensary standards that
comply with all federal guidelines for quality assurance, product tracking, and
patient safety.
